CONGRESS TOUR ÇANAKKALE

In the region where one of the world's greatest defense battles took place, it is possible to see thousands of years of historical texture as well as traces of war.


The ancient city of Troy, where the world-famous Trojan War was fought and which was included in the Unesco World Heritage List in 1998, is a popular destination for local and foreign tourists, while beauties such as Anzac Cove and Gökçeada Underwater National Park can be seen.


In the Gallipoli Peninsula, where visitors from all over the world flock, you can witness history by seeing the turning points of the history and foundation of the Republic of Türkiye, you can see the monuments, martyrdoms and castles of Gallipoli

POST CONGRESS TOUR ÇANAKKALE

Day 1: Istanbul - Gallipoli Tour: September 9, 2023

Our professional tour guides will pick you up from your hotel in Istanbul at 7:00 am and will depart to Canakkale. We will drive to Gallipoli which takes around 5 hours. Following Turkish traditional cusine at lunch, we will visit Gallipoli, Beach Cemetery (John Simpson´s Grave), ANZAC Cove, Ari Burnu (First ANZAC landing place), Lone Pine Cemetery (Australian memorial), Johnston´s Jolly (Walk in the ANZAC trenches),View Shrapnel Valley,Turkish Memorial,The Nek and Walker´s Ridge,Chunuk Bair (Main New Zealand memorial). Following the tour we drive to Eceabat where we stay at our 5 star hotel.



Day 2: Troy Ancient City Tour : September 10, 2023
Following breakfast we depart from hotel. We take the ferryboat to cross the Dardanelles. Following half hour drive we we proceed to legendary city of Troy, where the Trojan War between Greeks and Trojans took place in 1250 BC which was a very important settlement in the Bronze Age. You can explore the site of the legendary town, made famous by Homer in his Iliad and visit the Temple of Athena. A replica of Trojan horse can be also seen. To date, nine strata were identified and dated down to up. We will return from Troy Tour and take a ferry from Canakkale to Eceabat. Have a lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we have free time to explore this beautifull city by the Dardanelle Strait. Overnight stay at a hotel in Çanakkale.


Day- 3 ISTANBUL ;(The Last Day)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart to Istanbul with our tour bus at 08:00 am. Our estimated time of arrival in Istanbul is 01:00 pm.

  • ANZAK COVE : is a small cove on the Gallipoli peninsula in Turkey. It became famous as the site of World War I landing of the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) on 25 April 1915. The cove is 600 metres (2,000 ft) long, bounded by the headlands of Arıburnu to the north and Little Arıburnu, known as Hell Spit, to the south. Following the landing at Anzac Cove, the beach became the main base for the Australian and New Zealand troops for the eight months of the Gallipoli campaign.
  • LONE PINE CEMETRY : is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery dating from World War I in the former Anzac sector of the Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey and the location of the Lone Pine Memorial, one of five memorials on the peninsula which commemorate servicemen of the former British Empire killed in the campaign but who have no known grave.
  • THE 57th REGIMENT TURKISH MEMORIAL : was a regiment of the Ottoman Army during World War I. Established on February 1, 1915, in Tekirdağ (Rodosto) and received its regimental colours (sancak) on February 22, 1915.[1] The regiment’s command was given to Yarbay Hüseyin Avni Bey (Arıburnu) on February 23, and the regiment went to Çanakkale and arrived at Eceabat (Maydos) on February 25. After relocating the Bigali Village on March 26, 1915, they trained until April 24.

On April 25 Australian and New Zealand forces carried out the landing at Anzac Cove. The 57th, being nearest, counterattacked, slowed the invasion, and lost about half of its personnel. The 57th Infantry Regiment Memorial commemorates their sacrifice.
